Why I Started Natures Balance Care

I founded Natures Balance Care in 1994 for the purpose of providing 100% all natural horse & barn care products. As a horse owner, I became frustrated with the products available on the market today. Some products claim to be 100% all natural, but when reading the labels of natural fly repellent products, I found ingredients such as Permectrin, and Pyrethrum which are known toxic chemicals. Just infohorse@208-403 because Pyrethrum is derived from Chrysanthemums (that’s why products containing it can say “All Natural”) doesn’t mean it’s safe – Arsenic is all natural too, but we all know that it is deadly.

Everything Applied is Absorbed by the Skin

Think of your own experience. Have you ever noticed that when you apply pest repellent to your own skin you taste it in your mouth, even though you avoided any spray back? Your skin absorbed the chemical and delivered it into your blood stream, hence the taste in your mouth. The skin is the largest organ of the body, and it is a fact that the skin will absorb everything applied to it. This is true for your horses.
